A trainee angel fumbled in his job and Joe Pendeltom, a quarterback for the Rams was sent to a half-way station to await his turn to 'be processed' for Heaven or Hell. Heaven found they had made a mistake and he was not due until 50 years later. So they sent him back only to discover that his body was cremated. And so started this wonderful movie of the search for a body that would fit a quarterback. Warren Beatty, Julie Christie and Dyan Cannon stars. Good storyline, plot, acting and dialogue. | | Heaven Can Wait, Court Tells Dying Man | | A man given six months to live by his doctors has been told by an Italian court to come back in 14 months to hear the outcome of his demand for insurance damages. Carmelo Cisabella, 39, has an inoperable spine disease and is anxious to pick up some $596,300 in already-agreed damages from his insurers to help ease his final months of life. Messaggero newspaper reported. In a bid to speed up the process, Cisabella turned to the Sicilian courts to put pressure on the slow-moving insurers, but was told to return next year to hear their decision. In his frustration, he chained himself to the gates of the law courts to bring attention to his plight. Messaggero said Cisabella's woes dated back more than a decade when he was left paralyzed by a motorcycle accident. Confined to a wheelchair, he subsequently developed a lethal infection of the spine. The insurance claim dates back to the road crash. Italian justice is notoriously slow and it takes on average 3,041 to obtain a definitive sentence in a civil case.

| | FRIENDS. | | Of all the friends I've ever met,
You're the one I won't forget.
And if I die
Before you do
I'll go to heaven
And wait for you
I'll give the angels
Back their wings
And risk the loss
Of everything
Just to prove
My friendship is true
I'm thankful to have
Family and Friends like you!
| | Farrah Fawcett was so three hours ago.... | | I don't know if mourners of the Ex-Angel, who now really rests with the angels, live in a cave, but the news of 12:21pm, June 25, is that heaven is done with waiting, and seven years after the King of Pop released the single "Heaven can wait", Michael was called home to the Lord. Come on guys! Farrah Fawcett was the news of 9:29 am. Snap back to reality and stop living in the past! For those of you were eclipsed from all other news by Michael Jackson biographies that have flooded CNN, Farrah Fawcett has passed away. All jokes aside, I want to commemorate the passing of two entertainment legends that have left permanent marks on their respective music and pinup industries. The news of MJ's demise has no doubt boxed out all reportings on Farrah Fawcett, like a sumo wrestler beating a toddler at a game of musical chairs. This is not surprising, nor is it the first time that pieces of news go underreported simply because they occur in close chronological proximity to something much more enticing to a general public. However, the sad truth of celebrity buzz is that it is out competing ALL OTHER KINDS of news.Foreign politics(Iranian... | |
| | | Who hear enjoys poetry? | | I love poetry so much, i write it, read it, enjoy it. here is one of my poems written when i was 16 yrs old:When God created you from up above,
He brought you down for me to love;He picked you out from the rest,
because he knew i would love you the best;If i should die before you do,
I'll go to heaven and wait for you;If you're not there by judgement day,
I'll know you went the other way;I'll give the angels back their robe crown everything,
and just to show my love is true,
I'll go to hell to be with you!
| | Forever Young | | Is that even possible? Forget about bodies, they age! Why? Because i say so. How come? That's the way things are. Now, what? You want to defy gravity, go live in outer space. How about staying young at heart. I'm struggling with this one, what with all the stress, the clashes. Maybe i should stop struggling. If you know, TELL ME HOW!lyrics from: http://www.lyricstop.com/f/foreveryoung-youthgroup.htmlForever YoungLet's dance in style let's dance for a while,
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies,
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst,
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?Let us die on let us live forever,
Don't have the power but we never say never,
Sitting in the sandpit life is a short trip,
Music's for the sad manCan you imagine when this race is run,
Turning up our faces into the sun,
Praising our leaders getting in tune,

| | Something I want for my Grandkids. Written by Paul Harvey. Kept by me. | | We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse. For my grandchildren, I'd like better. I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would. I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by being cheated. I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the car. And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when ou are sixteen. It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog put to sleep. I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in. I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother/sister. And it's all right if you have to draw a line down the middle of the room, but when he wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I hope you let him. When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to tag along, I hope you'll let him/her. I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in a town where you can do it safely. On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope... | |
