And so a perfect God creates a big beautiful universe in a BANG! Wait a minute, this perfect God screwed up! He created nothing except a bunch of SINNERS! Well, I guess even God can screw up. Is it really a screw up? In order to really learn, we all must have freedom of choice. OK, now I'm free to screw up and sin but aren't we all sinners?? How can a perfect God screw up so badly??? A Being who can create universes has got to be very very smart. Perhaps, we miss the point. When times are good, we sit back and enjoy the ride. When adversity hits, we have to think, plan, study, analyze, and grow in so many ways along the journey. When we use our freedom of choice to sin or screw up, aren't there always adverse consequences that teach us??? Hmmm?? Sounds like the perfect teaching tool to me. God counts on sin, screwing up and the consequences of our actions. When we see the consequences, we rethink our actions, knowing to act the same will bring the same results. The school of Hard Knocks has always been the best teacher. So sinning and screwing up are God's perfect, hands on teaching method. SUDDENLY YOU DON'T LOOK SO BAD!!! You are a child of God so you are special! Deep down, you...
Recently I attended a Church service where the vicar said that at the gates of Heavan each of us will be striiped bare to reveal our true soal. But, I ask is a bad soal, not an honest soal? In other words is it just being honest to be who you are? To be otherwise, i.e. be extra virtious would be deceiptful, and not honest and that would surely be a negative In God's eyes wouldn't it?Deep I know, but interesting all the same.ethink our actions, knowing to act the same will bring the same results. The school of Hard Knocks has always been the best teacher. So sinning and screwing up are God's perfect, hands on teaching method. SUDDENLY YOU DON'T LOOK SO BAD!!! You are a child of God so you are special! Deep down, you have a heart of gold but sometimes you just need to see what it is that you are really doing. When you truly understand and see, you will make the right choices. God is unconditional love. God loves all His children. In God's eyes, we are the perfect little children learning and growing with the perfect teaching method. We are all eternal. Though hard lessons can hurt, IT HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT PUNISHMENT!! It's about LOVE AND LEARNING!!...
What makes something a true marriage these days? I know that many people take it as a church wedding, one with a certificate and made under the approval of God. Still, I know that in biblical days, marriage was often less under restrictions. I have heard that when Joseph and Mary became engaged, the simple act of her moving in with him was considered all right because in many people's eyes they were already married.Today it is far more under strict rules and guidelines. Does this truly make it a marriage? Is it more legal and political these days then in the past? If two people give their own vows and believe themselves to be married in God's eyes wouldn't this be enough?
We all have the power to choose what we deem important in this world. People choose that the wealthy are most important. Rich movie stars, singers, executives, politicians all carry people following them. Every year they name the world's richest people. Do you value the rich over the poor?? Is this what God really wants????We are all God's children so we are all equal in God's eyes. The homeless beggar on the street is every bit as good as the richest man. Have you listened to any beggars lately???? Why do people think they have nothing to say???? Everyone holds a different view. God gave us so many different views so that we could see a larger picture than any one person could. There is so much a person does not see in life. That's why we have each other. Could you be missing a point of view by only listening to the rich??Perhaps people value the rich because they want to be rich and hope to gain secrets. Being a truly wealthy person has very little to do with money. Spiritual wealth is really the only true wealth. If God sees all people as equal, maybe we should as well. Let's find out what we are missing. Who knows by interacting and maybe helping a poor person, you...
For you who knows the story of Jacob and Esau, please give your opinions or comments regarding my questions... Why did God let Jacob receive Isaac blessing while in facts Jacob was tricking a birthright from Esau and cheating to get a blessing from its father and God?.. I don't think that was a good example for peoples... But it seems that scenario works an legal in God eyes...
The Pharisees, after hearing Jesus' comment on the impossibility of serving God and money, laughed at him because they loved money. Then Jesus said, everything man puts value on is worth zero in God's eyes. And he meant everything!Even in churches, you'd see man's money value system reigning. The biggest and most moneyed churches are "blessed" and the small ones are tagged as "dying" or "not growing." What did they base this judgment on? From man's money value system. Thus, most pastors are working like crazy to have mega churches. In China and other forbidden places, churches are poor with so little (if any) resources, yet they're anything except stagnant and dying. You'd see the churches in small groups meeting in ordinary settings. Jesus didn't have millions for a ministry budget (as many churches and denominations today have)yet his ministry was anything but dying and stagnant. What does the church put little value on? Small churches, small budgets, the unemployed (is there a church that has the unemployed in its roster of church board leaders?), untitled pastors (not titled with a Reverend or Doctor), pastors without degrees (everyone wants to have a masters...
I was watching a movie the other night and this guy in order to save his own life he had to kick another guy off of his leg. The reason why he had to do this was in order to save his own life. And that got me thinking how far would an individual go in saving themselves? I mean technically if you kicked this person off your leg it's murder. But technically if you don't do it you die as well. So how can this stay morally? And in God's eyes would this be murder or should you just let go and kill both you and him? And would it be ok to kick him off because it would save yourself?I was wondering what's everybodies views on this topic are. Would it be ok to kill someone in order to save your own life or would it be more important not to save you either and hwo do you make a decision like that? Is there a right or a wrong?
I found this gem in The Onion, and had to share it with all of you:http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/typo_in_proposition_8Typo In Proposition 8 Defines Marriage As Between 'One Man And One Wolfman'December 17, 2008| Issue 44•51SACRAMENTO, CA—Activists on both sides of the gay marriage debate were shocked this November, when a typographical error in California's Proposition 8 changed the state constitution to restrict marriage to a union between "one man and one wolfman," instantly nullifying every marriage except those comprised of an adult male and his lycanthrope partner. "The people of California made their voices heard today, and reaffirmed our age-old belief that the only union sanctioned in God's eyes is the union between a man and another man possessed by an ungodly lupine curse," state Sen. Tim McClintock said at a hastily organized rally celebrating passage of the new law. But opponents, including Bakersfield resident Patricia Millard—who is now legally banned from marrying her boyfriend, a human, non-wolfman male—claim it infringes on their civil liberties. "I love James just as much as a wolfman loves his husband," Millard...
do you think that the "computer chip" that is being placed in animals and young children is "the mark" that the Bible speaks of?I know most people can't afford the chip right now, but people who are wealthy are having them put in their children as a way to find them if they ever came up missing. I understand why the parents would want this, but is it right in God's eyes?
In the Christian tradition, the burden of the original sin is a millstone around a human's neck. I must admit I can't understand why Adam and Eve were expelled for their sins, since they weren't offered a system of value through which they could have used in order to distinguish good from evil. In this context, I keep wandering why God can't love His children unconditionally? Why his children are splitted in two camps "believers" and "non-believers": this separation seems to highlight that, in God's eyes, human soul has no genuine value, the only ones wothing being those that choose His way. Is the soul of a "non-believer" worthless in the eyes of God?
