What do you think about having Parent-Teacher's meetings on Skype? A lot of times, the school is far away, and during the winter the weather is stormy, so it makes sense to set up the meetings on Skype and use the video option so that both people can see each other. (it's free too!) I feel that this is a better use of everyone's time and saves on gas as well. The school would set up a schedule of which parent will call when and have the meeting. As a teacher and a parent, I feel that in the modern world this should be an option. What do you think?
So now President Obama wants to have Democarts and Republicans meet on health care, and he wants it on TV. First, seems a little late to try to keep two of his campaign promises, he should have done this first thing. Second, have to think that he is going to try to sneak his plan through or have the whole thing fall apart and then blame the Republicans. Perhaps the best thing for him to do is have every member of congress have a couple of town hall meetings and then have congress work together to address what We the People want them to address.
i remembered i used to cry when my parents were not able to attend PTA meetings.now that i became a parent, I personally believe that it can affect my kid's performance at school. a child will be more inspired and willing to attend school regularly if he have supportive parents. Parent involvement is crucial to the health and well-being of a child. As a parent, you are the most important influence in your child's success in school and in life. In this role, you have a fresh opportunity every day to get involved with your child.
Parent involvement in children’s education allows kids to perform better in school, and navigate more easily some of the challenges of growing up, such as bullying. what's your side on this?
Can a Christian survive without the church? Why do so many Christians think that that they can do well on their own without the church? Is there really a valid reason or excuse?
Do you go to any sales meetings? They used to show up on my invoices with the time, date, and place but they stopped having them I guess. I've never been to a sales meeting but I would like to know what I'm missing. How do you hear about your sales meetings? Does someone call you, email, invitation in the mail?
Sometimes we've been invited to attend gatherings, meetings and the most is business conference and seminars...is it your attitude to jot down important things being said by the speakers?
As for me, yes, I love to specially if the topic would be so interesting and beneficial. How about you guys? May I know?
I was reading today that one of congressman in my state who decided to hold an telephone "town hall". Now, he didn't tell anyone about this town hall, and the only way that you would have known about it is to of asked about it (but if you don't know about something, then how do you know to ask). This was basicly a bash the health care bill, and praise the republicans who are stand up to it. There was NO decenting views taken in the phone town hall, but there were people that tried to call in, but were told that they didn't have time to take their calls. Do you think that this is reason why everytime you see a republican on TV, they say that all of their constituents oppose this bill?
Ok, I used to go to my son's school all the time and meet with the teacher to see how he was doing in school, what he was having trouble with, being socialable, finding friends, etc.. With my son having ADHD, behavior, and anger issues I want to keep up on this and tap into anything before it gets worse. Now they are not having these meetings anymore!!!
How is a parent to know what is going on with their child and help them if they need it....writing back and forth doesn't work for me, I like to talk face to face and see what the teacher really feels, thinks and body language plays a huge part. How do i know if the teacher is "really" helping him and not the "uppidity up" children?
Does anyone elses school stop these meetings also or even had them to begin with?
The newest attack on protesters at town hall meetings comes from none other than Nancy Pelosi who, calling the grassroots campaigners "astroturf" claims that they are "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare."See the video here:http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2009/08/05/pelosi_town_hall_protesters_are_carrying_swastikas.htmlNow I have searched the news, youtube and the net to find any instance of protesters carrying swastikas to health care reform meetings and I have come up empty. This is a blatant lie as far as I can tell and an effort to paint the protesters as neo-nazis.Seeing this reaction to the average citizen exercising his free speech, can you really believe anything else this woman says about anything? Can you trust her to reform health care? I wouldn't trust her to water my plants while I went on vacation, let alone put my life and the lives of my loved ones in her hands.
