NAT KING Cole were my 'Sole Artiste Supremo' Nobody else could sing like him, I mean the romance in his songs, his romantic voice, wow. There are one or two who have tried to immitate him, but grrrr, they fall way short. Some singers just come around once in a life time. But when they die they still live on. that is N.K.Cole. Like Elvis. They just live on. Any one old enough to know NAT KING Cole?
The greatest and smoothest crooner of them all. I was always mesmerised by NKC songs. The most romantic singer of all time. Does anyone else remeber Nat.

xoxoxoxox"Five (5) lessons to make you think about the way we treat people.
1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady. During my second month of college, our professo r gave us a popquiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed=2 0through thequestions until I read the last one:'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?'Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning womanseveral times.. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but howwouldI know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just beforeclass ended, one student asked if the last question would count towardour quiz grade. 'Absolutely,' said the professor.. 'In your careers you will meetmany people. All are significant. They deserve your attention andcare, even if all you do is smile and say 'hello.'I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name wasDorothy. 2. - Second...
I promised myself I was going to post this today, without thinking much about it. I told a friend I would. It's about love.My first wife and I had an ideal life, envied by many personal friends of hers and mine as told by them: "I wish my wife was that way with me", or "I wish my husband was like that with me." And stuff like that, for some 22 years before something happened... then she began making her own social circles and life and she changed dramatically, until she told me she "had lived long enough for the family and wanted to have a life of her own, and see the world, as I had." After all was said and done we separated and my world sank into a black hole that I never knew existed or was possible.
That's just the background of my story. Some caring people (friends and especially my lovely little sister) sufficiently urged me to seek counsel and I finally went to a man I shall never forget, who was a Vietnam Veteran like myself and to my shock he listened like no one else and ultimately embraced me with a man's embrace (no huggy huggy between us), MEN hurt with/for other men also. But my point is...listen well, please. He said something I shall never forget and...
Maybe we ought to listen to Nat King Cole's and Natalie Cole's version of "When I Fall in Love" on youtube:The Chorus:
"When I fall in love, it will be forever,
Or I'll never fall in love.
In a restless world like this is,
Love is ended before it's begun.
And too many moonlight kisses,
Seem to melt in the warmth of the sun.""When I give my heart, it will be completely,
Or I'll never give my heart,
And the moment I can feel that you feel that way too,
Is when I fall in love,
Is when I fall I fall in love,
With you."I'm working on this with my partner who does the female soprano. I can do all the piano parts, and even sing the natural baritone of Nat King Cole.Any comments on this fabulous song by ol' Nat?Blessings,Dan
