St. Joseph's for the Lakota Sioux Children
Last year, my Mom and I took a vacation to South Dakota for my uncle's 90th birthday party. SD is about a two-day drive from where we live (New Mexico). We decided to stop in Mission, SD, on the way up to my uncle's and to deliver clothes, accessories, blankets, pillows, etc. to a mission in Mission. We could have donated the clothes locally to Goodwill, the Salvation Army, etc., but we just decided we wanted to help the Lakota Sioux. My favorite charity is ST. JOSEPH's in Chamberlain, SD, which helps Lakota children. Do you have a favorite charity? I tend to give all my donations, with a few exceptions, to the Lakota Sioux. Do you have one charity or do you donate to many?
St. Joseph kits to sell real estate
Whenever the real estate market goes down, I come across an article on St. Joseph kits, and how deserate sellers use them to sell their homes, or non-desparate sellers will use them to receive a quick offer and sale. How it works is that the statue is buried head down about a half foot into the ground, then a prayer is read, and then the house sells quickly. Has anybody out there used this "technique," and if so, did it work? I read in a local paper that a real estate agent uses it to help sell homes for some of her clients. So, if it works, wouldn't it be one of the great tools of real estate investing? Or is it psychosomatic? Those who use this tool subconsciously believe, so they try harder to sell the home?

Bury a figurine of St. Joseph to sell your house!
When my mom's house wouldn't sell after months of being listed, we heard that some people bury a St. Joseph figurine in the backyard to bring on a sale. I had to trudge through our local flea market to find such a thing. My mom's house sold in 2 weeks. There's a certain way of burying it which is feet up toward the sky (heaven) and facing the house. If you live in a place without a yard, you can try doing this in a flowerpot. After you sell your home, you should dig it up and display it to show your appreciation. I'm not really into religious decor, but ours found a good spot to live therafter. Good luck.
Girl gives birth in classroom!
A 15-year-old girl has given birth in her classroom in front of stunned pupils. The unnamed teenager went into labour on Monday just after the start of the school day at St Joseph's Catholic College, Cunliffe Road, Manningham in Bradford. Yorkshire Ambulance Service responded to an emergency call at 9.19am and the youngster was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. John Grady, a spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Leeds, said: "We can confirm that a baby was born at St Joseph's Catholic College on Friday, December 15, to one of the pupils."Every help is being given to the mother and child and to the immediate family of those concerned."

Something About our Honourable President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam of india
"Dreams float on an impatient wind, A wind that wants to create a new order. An order of strength and thundering of fire." -- from a poem written by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the undisputed father of India's missile program. He has breathed life into ballistic missiles like the Agni and Prithvi, which put China and Pakistan well under India's missile range. It is too exhausting to track Dr Abdul Kalam's achievements to date. In the '60s and '70s he was a trail blazer in the space department. In the '80s he transformed the moribund Defence Research and Development Laboratory in Hyderabad into a highly motivated team. By the '90s Kalam emerged as the czar of Indian science and technology and was awarded the Bharat Ratna. His life and mission is a vindication of what a determined person can achieve against extraordinary odds. Born on 15th October 1931 at Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu, Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam studied at Schwartz High School in Ramanathapuram. After graduating in science from St. Joseph's College in Tiruchi, he did his DMIT in Aeronautical Engineering at the MIT, Madras, during 1954-57. After completing his third year at MIT, Kalam...
Pre Admission test
Today i took my grand daughter to a school near my son's residence for pre-admission test, they charged 100 rupees for the forms etc from each candidate. The result was given after 2 hours, i was weired to see that all came out successful, that too the lowest secured mark was 94 out of 100. I smelt some thing fishy here. On asking my grand daughters said, the invigilators in the hall told them the answer too. Well this they certainly did to get more students to the school. I am sure they will help the kids till class Xth, but in the board examination, they can't, the invigilators are from out side. I really hate, people have made education a business. I have asked my son to put them in some convent school only, as they read in St Joseph convent school earlier. These are free of corruption and strict in all matters from admission to administration. What is the scenerio at your place, you put your kids in Public schools, that have strict regulations or just any school? Govt schools are worst here. Happy posting Prof
Another Major Recall of Over The Counter Medications
One has to wonder like what is going on with recalls. Now it's one thing when we suddenly hear that the FDA is either pulling off prescription medications, or at least tacking on severe cautionary warnings about detrimental side effects of medications, but what is going on with recalls of OTC medications, many of which are products people have trusted for decades? Not long ago, a recall of the Arthritis Formula of Tylenol was pulled off the market due to complaints that the caplets gave off a strange moldy like odor which did affect people in causing them to have nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and/or diarrhea. Well now that recall is not only extended to all Tylenol products but many other under the McNiel division of Johnson and JohnsonTo quote from an article:The recall includes some batches of regular and extra-strength Tylenol, children's Tylenol, eight-hour Tylenol, Tylenol arthritis, Tylenol PM, children's Motrin, Motrin IB, Benadryl Rolaids, Simply Sleep, and St. Joseph's aspirin. The REAL kicker is that McNeil knew of the problem as early as early in the year of 2008 yet never mentioned anything...like HUH? Now I've never ever used Tylenol...my...
please spread the word........we need help
Just Please Lend an Ear for a Minute.........My name is Shiekhyla; I graduated from high school back in 2002, all the way up to the present I have been in school working on college courses so that I would be able to get into a Nursing Program; it really has been a struggle for me but I have never given up. In November 2008 my dream finally came true when I got accepted to St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. It is a Registered Nursing Program where I can become a RN in just one year......yes that's too good to be true. And the program would start on January 5, 2009. I was so happy that I cried. I responded to the school, gave them the rest of my documentation so that my application package would be completed, only thing now is that I had to meet with a Financial Aid person because the tuition would cost $25,000, and I knew without some kind of Financial Aid that I could not afford it. I met with her, and the only kind of Financial Aid which was available was Sallie Mae; I tried two people and I was denied; I was devastated. All my life I have worked so hard in school, and I never thought in a million years that financial problems would come in my way to reaching my dreams....
