| | Mary Baker Eddy's spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer. | | Mary Baker Eddy, in her textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, provides a spiritual interpretation of the holiest of all prayers, The Lord's Prayer. The interpretation came to her consciousness after years of dedicated bible studies, prayer, and healing. The first part goes like this:

Hallowed be thy name.Adorable One.
Thy Kingdom come.Thy kingdom is come. Thou art everpresent.
Thy will be done, in earth, as it is in heaven.Enable us to know, as in heaven, so on earth, God is omnipotent, supreme. | |

| | it is in pardoning that we are pardoned... | | I have heard a lot of people saying an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. in our world today that everyone who have been hurt, persecuted, and injustice would cry out revenge and would always think of ways on how to get even. D we still follow God's word that we should forgive others for it is in forgiving that we are forgiven? I believe that this is what God wants us to do for it was part of the Lord's prayer. Do you believe in this and follow it or you would rather put justice into your own hands? | |

Rather cleverly done in two parts:
the prayer ( in blue type ) and GOD (in red type ) in response.
It is very, very good.**********
Our Father Who Art In Heaven.
Yes?
Don't interrupt me. I'm praying.
But -- you called ME!
Called you?
No, I didn't call you.
I'm praying.
Our Father who art in Heaven.
There -- you did it again!
Did what?
Called ME.
You said,
"Our Father who art in Heaven"
Well, here I am.
What's on your mind?
But I didn't mean anything by it.
I was, you know, just saying my prayers for the day.
I always say the Lord's Prayer.
It makes me feel good,
kind of like fulfilling a duty.
W ell, all right.
Go on.
Okay, Hallowed be thy name .
Hold it right there.
What do you mean by that?
By what?
By "Hallowed be thy name"?
It means, it means . . good grief,
I don't know what it means.
How in the world should I know?
It's just a part of the prayer.
By the way, what does it mean?
It means honored, holy, wonderful.

I never thought about what 'hallowed' meant before.
Thanks.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Do you really mean that?

The fifth clause is 'Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread' meaning to supply our needs. The sixth clause is, 'Lead Us Not Into Temptation', is an appeal for spiritual guidance. The seventh clause is' But Deliver Us From Evil, speaks of the final deliverance that will come. The eighth clause, 'For Thy Is The Kingdom,Power And Glory', is the affirmation that all glory and power belongs to God. The nineth clause is,Forever, And Ever', speaks of complete cycles.
