Yes I am a grown man and I don’t live my mother but she is a seventh day Adventist and when I go to look for her she says that I cant watch TV in her house on a Friday. Now I think that this is like imposing her beliefs on me and I was thinking that I could watch my Tv since there is nothing else to do anyway while se maintains her Sabbath. Isn’t it possible that we could do both and still be happy? I mean if I was a Muslim and she came to my house,should I force her to worship five times per day while she is prostrated and turned to the east?We have had many passionate discussions about it but when I go to her house I conform,even though I dont agree[b]What do you think am I being unreasonable? Or is she being a dictator? (she is sweet mom by the way,this is our only bone of contention lol )[/b] | |

| Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osborne..... | | My son recently started listening to the old Black Sabbath music and Ozzy Osborne. Can someone tell me if I should be worried? I mean, just the name of the band is enough to worry me, and I don't like to go by looks, but c'mon...Ozzy looks scary. I've heard how he talks and his vocabulary was and is very limited, it seems (to vulgar language and etc.). What DOES the name Black Sabbath imply? Did they come by it in some particular way or it was just to sound as rebellious as they possibly could? | |

| Keeping The Sabbath Day. | | In the book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 5 and verses 12 to 15 we read the commandment regarding the keeping of the Sabbath. It is very clear and the fact that it is explained so thoroughly shows that it was considered important. As is often the case however, man decides to makes changes and by the time of Jesus it had been changed so much that Jesus commented, "The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath". Why do you think that particular commandment was given in the first place, and what did Jesus mean by that statement? | |
