Good morning~ Thought I'd ask you all what helps you get through when you're waiting on God and when things don't make sense...when things are hard...when suffering is added to more suffering...and answers to prayer don't come. What helps you guys through when the hard times don't end? Verses are welcome...we have His precious promises. Thanks!
Abraham's faith seemed to be in complete agreement with the power and constant faithfulness of Jehovah. by looking at the outer circumstances in which he was placed, he had no reason to expect the fulfillment of God's promise. yet he believed the Word of the Lord and looked forward to the time when his descendants wound be "as numerous as the stars in the sky." (Genesis 26:4). dear soul, you have not been given only one promise, like Abraham, but a thousand promises. and you have been given the example of many faithfyl believers as a pattern for your life. therefore it is simply to your advantage to rely with confidence upon the Word of God. and although He may delay in sending His help, and the evil you are experiencing may seem to become worse and worse, do not be weak. instead, be strong and rejoice, for God usually steps forward to save us when we least expect it, fulfilling His most glorious promises in a miraculous way.
I believe each and everyone of us, has something we desired for from God. It might be financial aspect, a job, a friend or a loveone who is sick, and so many things. So friend tell me, what are your prayer concerns lately?[em]blink[/em]Perhaps that was a long time prayer and you have never seen an answer yet, do you keep a grip of hope in your heart that God would still answer your hearts desire?[em]sad[/em]Do you believe that God answers prayers?[em]happy[/em]
We often heard by so many people who claim that the end is near, that the doom we feared to happen will happen on given exact time. My friend told me a story about a place where there's someone who prophecy about the coming of God so the people believe on him that they keep their self in a cave, Waiting for God to come and they will be save. And so they live in a cave for months until all of them get sick and soon died. It's a terrible story. That's why no matter what other people said that the time is near I never believe only God knows when is that time. Those kind of people who claim they know, only lead the people astray. Do you think those people who claim that doom is near do good to us? What do you think about them?most glorious promises in a miraculous way.
Last night, I learned from the news that Loren Legarda and Vilma Santos will not be among those vice presidential candidates Lakas Kampi will choose.[em]thumbup[/em]I also learned that Bong Revilla can be among the picks for Vice President since he also belongs to the same party. Apparently, Bong said he is still waiting for GOD sign.[em]confused[/em]Do you think he can be a good Vice President? No hurting words, please.[em]happy[/em]
Do you believe in yourself or waiting for god to help you? When one is making a important decision, do you ask god for advice or you will just decide on yourself?
Waiting for God
What age is the age of wisdom, 30, 40, ........
I tell you there is no wisdom in becoming older. The only wisdom that you falsely believe in, is the realization, that your body and your mind is checking out. Then you start pleading with the goddesses to give you more time. .So what is it about body image? Particularly for us thoughtful, progressive, status-quo challenging, older, wiser souls who really do “know better”. What if I look 'good for my age.' I’m still my darn age.We worry in part because we fear losing the functionality and flexibility and health of youth. And also because we think everyone else is looking at us askew for aging. The fear starts creeping up, what if he leaves you for a younger model, trade in is no option. But it is none of the above. It is the cracking of bones in the morning, the aches and pains that you feel, each morning there is a new one to remind you that getting older is not for sissies. That thought makes you feel good, it feels like you were given a test paper where you don’t necessarily have to be top in your class. Then you stumble to the barroom with new inspiration, as you look at yourself in the...
I'm sure many of you have heard the saying "God helps those who help themselves".I have always understood this to mean do NOT rely on God to do everything for you, that you should do what you can for yourself and only expect God's help in things you can not do without His Divine intervention. This is brought about by certain discussions I have seen about a particular group of people that will not take medicines or have surgery done, in the belief that if it is God's Will they will be healed through prayer.I don't mean to belittle these people, but it seems to me that it could be possible that God allowed us to learn medicine to help each other. If you have something wrong that CAN be cured by medical means, and you refuse these treatments in favor of waiting for a Divine intervention, are you not really just tempting God to ignore you?I mean, answer the following questions:1. If you are hungry, are you going to go find something to eat to take care of your hunger, or are you going to wait for God to fill you with nourishment?2. If your bills are due, are you going to go to work to earn money to pay them, or sit at home and wait for God to send you some...
I love watching British shows on PBS. They show them once a week on Staturdays and then they'll do reruns on Sundays as well. My favorite shows are Keeping Up Appearances, Last of Summer Wine, Are You Being Serve? They're pretty good shows, I wish they'd show more shows. It seems like they're collections of the shows is small.
